Meet Your Physio,
Murray Strachan
Murray is a highly experienced physiotherapist with a passion for helping clients recover from musculoskeletal injuries and conditions, orthopaedic rehabilitation, chronic low back pain and general health and wellbeing. He is dedicated to providing personalised care and effective treatment plans to optimise recovery and improve overall well-being.
Graduating from The University of Newcastle in 2019, Murray has accumulated experience across the private practice, hospital and surgical theater settings including with the Mako robot responsible for assisting surgeons during their joint replacement surgeries. He has enjoyed treating a wide variety of presentations and injuries and uses this knowledge in the development of a treatment plan that works for you.
Murray is passionate about empowering his patients with the education and tools necessary to optimise their health. His personal experience stems from recovering from sporting injuries during his days playing rugby union as well as a lengthy rehabilitation following a snowboarding injury where he sustained several spinal fractures. This all gives him a personal insight into the challenges of recovering from long-term injuries and fosters empathy and understanding in his appointments.
Murray resides in Bateau Bay with his wife, Gabrielle, and their indoor cat. On the weekends you'll find Murray and his family enjoying the outdoors or at a local cafe for a coffee fix!

As a private patient you do not need a referral to visit Premier Physiotherapy Studio. However, if you are attending Physiotherapy through workers compensation, CTP or medicare, it is best to receive a referral from your GP. If you have any questions, please email admin@premierphysiostudio.com.au

Yes, you can. This is using our HICAPS machine. If you do not have your card with you we can provide a receipt after your appointment for you to claim with your relevant insurer afterwards.

Your health insurance rebate will be dependent on your own health insurance policy and your level of cover. If you would like a quote prior to your appointment, we suggest giving us a call to collect the appointment item number, and then taking this to your health insurance to enquire what your out of pocket cost will be.

In some circumstances you may be eligible to claim your appointment through Medicare. This scheme is now known as the Chronic Disease Management Plan. We suggest enquiring with your GP prior to your appointment if you wish to check your eligibility for this scheme.

We are located on Premier Way, Bateau Bay. There is plenty of parking on either side of the street.

If you have had any previous imaging then please either forward copies of results to admin@premierphysiostudio.com.au or alternatively bring them with you on the day of your first appointment.
For any lower limb injures (hip/knee/foot) it is advisable to bring or wear a pair of shorts where possible.

At Premier Physio Studio we understand that appointments may need to be cancelled. If you need to cancel, we please ask that you provide at least 24 hours notice, so that your appointment can be made available to someone else.
